Mary Ann Vucic, 87, of Weirton, passed away Monday, October 25 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH. Born February 17, 1923 in Fairmont, WV, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Agnes Kolich Bartolovich. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Matthew, Joseph and John Bartolovich and sisters Ann Stanich, Kathryn Hecathorne and Rose Barnabei. With 19 years of service, Mrs. Vucic retired from the Accounting Department of Weirton Steel. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, were she could be heard ringing the bells in the choir. She was a member of the St. Joseph Christian Mothers, Weirton Elks 1801 Auxiliary, Weirton Moose Lodge 688 Auxiliary and AARP. Mary Ann is survived by her husband John Vucic of Weirton; son Victor Selestay and his wife Leslie of Herndon, VA; daughter Kathy Mihalyo and her husband John of Weirton; sister Barbara Pete of Weirton; grandchildren John, Annie, Ryan, Tracey and Brett; great grandchildren James Michael, Grace Marie and Lucy Marie and sisters-in-law Vera McElwain and her husband John and Anna Snyder. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Friday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer presiding. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 229 California Avenue, Weirton, WV 26062.
