Mary DeFilippis, 66, of Weirton passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born December 2, 1952 in Washington, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Shirley George Allison. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Ronald and Donald Allison.
Mary was a homemaker. She enjoyed arts and crafts and taking care of her dog Lexi.
She is survived by her husband Joseph DeFilippis Jr.; son Joseph DeFilippis III of Weirton; brother Billy Allison of Colliers and sister Kathy Walker of Georgetown, PA.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 until the time of funeral services at 8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton. Revered Father Anthony G. Thurston will officiate.

I am so sorry to hear about Mary’s passing. I have known Mary for most of our lives. I live down the hill from where she grew up. I remember her walking up the hill on her way home from school. We used to play hide and seek in the field next to her house (especially after dark). I am sure she will be missed by all who knew her. You all have my condolences.

Mary was our neighbor for over 20 years. On nice days, you’d always see Mary out on her porch with her dog, reading a book. We had many pleasant conversations over the years, and she was always very friendly. Our condolences and prayers go out to Joe Jr and her son, Joe III, along with the rest of her family during this difficult time.
