Mary J. Standardi, 91, formerly of Weirton, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2005 in Murrieta, California. She was born February 26, 1914 in Mingo Junction, Ohio, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Krizan Fabian. She was preceded in death by her husband Pasquale “Patsy” Standardi in 1993; brother Joseph Fabian and three sisters Helen Adametz, Sister Mary Constantine and Agnes Buccalo. As a resident of Weirton, Mary was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and St. Joseph’s Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters. Mary is survived by her son Pat Standardi of Temecula, CA; daughter Carol Standardi of Ann Arbor, MI; three brothers Father Cyril Fabian of Winona, MN, Peter Fabian of Mingo Junction, OH and Father John Fabian of San Diego, CA; two sisters Katherine Taggart of Steubenville, OH and Margaret Everett of La Crescenta, CA; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 12PM Friday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 28127 Bradley Road, Sun City, CA 92586.
