Mary L. Connovich, 90, of Weirton passed away July 11, 2009, at the Heritage Place I. She was born August 13, 1918 in Avella, PA, the daughter of her adopted parents, the late John and Ann Timcho Laburda. Her husband John E. Connovich whom she married on July 30, 1939, her son John (Jay) Connovich, her parents Charles and Mary Zedick, brothers Michael, Charles and John Zedick, and sisters Stella Yastian and Ann Lusanich also preceded her in death. Mary was employed by Murphy’s 5 and 10 stores for 15 years as a sales clerk. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Weirton, WV, and the Three Score senior citizens. She is survived by daughter Mary Jo Long and her husband Gerald of Weirton; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton, WV. Services will be held Wednesday 12 noon in the funeral home with Pastor Robert Michael officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
