  1. Mary Giles or “Grandma Giles,” as she was known to the kids in the neighborhood of 21st Street in the 90s-00s was a blessing of a woman. She filled our neighborhood air with the fresh scent of laundry as she frequently dried on her line; and she filled our little tummies with cookies and sweets from her kitchen. When me, my brothers, and other neighborhood kids would skip-down-the-street to knock on her door and seek her attention, she always obliged. Either by letting us watch her and “Grandpal Giles” play a very competitive game of Scrabble or making us warm cocoa and lending-an-ear. She was a woman of unyielding faith and often prayed with us or for us. Her kind heart and ways have always inspired me. I pray her family find solace in this time. ????May her heart of gold rest-in- peace.????

  2. So very sorry for your loss….she will be missed…I know. We are never ready to say goodbye..but we know your mother is in the best of hands…those of her Lord. With deepest sympathy …Larry and Lynn Baccari

  4. Sorry for the loss of your Mother, she was a really great woman, beautiful inside and out. She is now with her wings and watching over her loving family.

  5. My Heart felt Sympathy going out to the Giles Family! Mrs. Giles was like my second Mother! She was one of the Kindest, Sweetest Woman I have ever known! Her Profound Love for her God was unwavering! We could all learn from her example! There are no words to express the profound Sadness that I feel but at the same time the Great Fortune I feel to have known her! There will never be another! You will be Sorely Missed! Rest in Eternal Peace Mrs. G!

  6. Shari, so very sorry for your loss. Your mom was beautiful. From the posts I have read, it sounds like yours was the house that neighborhood kids liked to be at. That says so much about what kind of mom she was. You and your Family are in my Familys prayers, Sincereley, Chas + Mel Biewen

  7. Sorry to hear of your loss. Mary Louise was a sweet lady. I grew up going to church at Tri State and looked forward to seeing her happy smile and big hugs ok Sunday. She was literally the happiest person I knew.
