Maudelee Scott Heaton formerly of Weirton, WV passed away peacefully in Fort Pierce , FL on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Maudelee was born on March 27, 1924 to the late Richard Scott and Anna Lee (Wyatts) Scott. She was preceded in death by her husband William Clayton Heaton, son Donald Clayton Heaton and 6 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by: daughter Judi (Jim) Recht of Denver, CO; daughter Patty Williams of Port St. Lucie, FL; and daughter-in-law Robyn Heaton of Wellsburg, WV. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Marc (Erica) Recht of Wellesley Hills, MA; Tracy (Will) Daniels of Durango, CO; Ami (Ted) Dodd of Wheeling, WV; Joshua Heaton of Wellsburg, WV; Jason (Nicole) Williams of Wexford, PA; Heather (John) Halfhill of Springfield, VA; Chad (Bethany) Williams of Mars, PA; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A 2 PM memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Weirton, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5090 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL, 39481

So sorry to hear of Maude’s passing. Will always remember her greeting us at Walmart and being such a good neighbor! Will miss her.
So sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. Everyone will remember her as a WalMart Greeter, but we remember her and your family as friends. Kathy lives in Houston, TX. now, and I will be out of town at my son’s house in NJ, and will not be able to come to her service. Please know we share in your loss.

Patty and family, I’m so sorry I missed your mom’s service today. I didn’t wake up till after 2:30 today. I was up most of the night with heartburn. I really wanted to come and see the kids and grandkids too. Again I’m sorry for your loss, you’re all in my thoughts and prayers.
Patty and family, We were so glad we got to meet your Mom at Chad and Bethany’s wedding. We just loved her and she was so fun to be around and quite comical too. We laughed and laughed with her at the dinner the night before the wedding. We will miss her. Sorry for your loss.

Patty ..I am so sorry to hear of your moms passing …she was such a vibrant, caring lady. She loved her family, always telling of newest ventures. Dear Judi, Patty and families–I know it has been a month but I just found out. Made me think of our years as kids and how much our parents cared. so easy to lose touch as time passes and we get older but we always hold a special spot for those who were there as we grew up. always enjoyed visiting with her when my mom and I would go to the store. my mom did not remember who she was, only that they were friends. I remembered her for her smile and great attitude. wish you peaceful memories.
