Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear Cleo, Alicia and John, Kevin and Donna: A sweet, gentle person was Maureen. No more suffering from COPD and kidney failure, for she is now at peace. We remember all the fun growing up with each other in the neighborhood. And, of course, the first day that you moved to Marland Heights we all slid down the big hill in your backyard in mattress boxes. Could we forget that Maureen ended up in the hospital with an asthma attack? Then, she healed and we all would swim, play kickball, dodgeball, basketball, baseball, etc. together. Wish we could turn back the clock to those carefree days but we cannot. From visiting with Maureen, she enjoyed eating at the Chinese Restaurant. Her favorite memories were of her family and going to the one in downtown Steubenville. Our Catholic Faith gives us the assurance that we all will one day be reunited with the Lord. Until then, keep her memory alive in your hearts. Love to all,

  2. Dear Saunder Family,I was so sorry to hear of Maureens passing. We did all grow up in a great neighborhood with great friends. My prayers go out to all of you.She will be missed.

  3. Dear Cleo, Alicia and Kevin, My heartfelt sympathy go out to all of you but I am joyful that Maureen is finally at peace. I was privileged to visit her several times a few years ago and I saw that the Maureen I grew up with and that Maureen were quite different. I will cherish the memories of growing up together on Overlook Drive – what a wonderful childhood we had together – what a “happy kids” neighborhood it was. I choose to remember her then and I am thankful she’s truly in God’s hands now.

  4. Dearest Cleo, June and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. I never met your family, but if she was as sweet as you and Bill, she was a Princess. You and your family are in our prayers at this sad time. Love you Cleo and God Bless.

  5. Dear Cleo and family, You are in my heart, my thoughts and prayers at this time of loss. The Saunders family has a special place in my memories.

  6. Sadly, another member of our Madonna High School Class of 1972 is no longer with us. I have many fond memories. My condolances to Maureen’s family and friends.

  7. I am so sorry to hear of Maureen’s passing. I haven’t seen her since high school but knew her well back then as she and my sister were best friends for years. She was an awesome person. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. With love,

  8. Dear Cleo, Alicia,Kevin, I am sorry for your loss, my heart is breaking with the news of Maureen. For many years we knew she was ill, asked about her but never given the opportunity to visit her. protecting her or protecting the memory of her I don’t know which..but Maureen happy, daring, full of life and so funny, or very ill “somewhere”.. she was my friend and I loved her.God blessed me with her friendship..we were best friends, Nancy, Maureen and I. That great friendship never dies, if a dear special friend could reconize you or not,it wouldn’t matter, you have their loving soul in your heart forever.Thank you for sharing your Maureen with me seemingly so briefly..I have missed her for years. Again, I am sorry for the suffering and loss your family has endured, I will pray for Maureen that she has been embraced by her family in heaven, all once again happy and at peace. You are such a great family, admired by many, God bless you all. Sending love, Mary Kaye Charnie-Druliner
