May Nazar Myers Dobro, the Director of Communications at Weirton Medical Center until 2006 passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. She was 83. May was born on September 13, 1938, in Weirton, WV, one of five children born to Mitat and Make Bato Nazar. A consummate professional, May will be remembered for the kindness she shared with everyone she knew. Her grandchildren were her world. In addition to her parents, May was preceded in death by her brothers, Daniel and Duke Nazar; and her sister, Eleanor Nazar. May will be remembered with love by her daughter, Nicole “Nicci” (George) Fekaris; her grandchildren, Sophia, Faith, and Elias Fekaris; her sister, Dorothy Jernigan; nieces, Jessica and Jasmine Jernigan; and nephew, Doug Nazar. May will be cremated and laid to rest with her family at Three Springs Cemetery. May's family would like to thank the staff at Serra Manor and Valley Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.   1. Nikki I worked with your mom back in the 80’s & 90’s & we always had a great time & great parties in our Personnel Dept. I remember you coming to our office too.   8. I am very sorry to read the passing of May. I knew her from our involvement in the Weirton Rotary. May was always such a pleasant person to be around. My thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family.

  9. I first met May at Weirton Medical Center when she worked in the same room as my cousin Joyce Sokolowski. They worked well with each other. Joyce thought a lot of her. In the last couple years I would see May at Serra Manor when I visit my two aunts Mary Roberts and Julie Nogay. May would always say hello to me and remember that Joyce was my cousin. She was a lovely lady with a very nice smile. I am sorry and will pray for her and all her family members. I know she has to be in Heaven–there is no doubt–and she’s at peace.
