Michael John Accettola, 41, of York PA, formerly of Weirton, WV, died Friday July 10, 2009. Michael was born August 10, 1967, in Weirton, WV, a son of John Newton Accettola and the late Bonita Kathryn (Costello) Accettola. Michael was also preceded in death by his brother, Scott B. Accettola. Michael was the Inside Sales Coordinator for Shipley Energy. He was a Pittsburgh Steeler Fanatic. He is survived by his father and step mother, John N. and Sandra (Uram) Accettola of Weirton, WV; a sister, Kathleen Dilley and her husband Jon of Johnsonburg, PA; a niece Chelsea Bowler of Ridgway, PA; a stepbrother, Bradley D. Barber of McKeesport, PA Private visitation will be held for close friends and family 11:30 AM until time of Memorial Services at 1 PM Tuesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.   5. I started the same day as Mike at Shipley. He was always smiling and joking and was a friendly face in the office. It wont be the same without him. We were all shocked at his passing and send our condolences to his friends and family. If we can do anything for you please contact us. We share a collective loss. Walk in peace with God.

I will remember his laughter and the laughter he brought to us each day. He had a beautiful heart and was a very generous man. He also had an incredible dedication to his work.   8. John and Kathleen, I am so sorry to hear about Mike. I only found out today. Though I hadn’t seen him in years, I remember the many times we hung out together when we were kids. I am sure he had a good heart and was well liked by all. Again, my sincerest condolences to your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  9. Mike was an outstanding Marine, talented writer and one of the most genuine and caring people I have ever met. He was a true friend. I am proud to have known him. We only just recently got back in contact after many years. I am thankful I was able to speak with him recently but very sad I didn’t get a chance to see him again.
