Mildred (Babe) Vuckovich

Mildred (Babe) Vuckovich, 98, of Weirton, WV passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Mary Ann Manor in Follansbee, WV. Mildred was born on October 1, 1921, in Midland, PA to Milosh and Draginja (Ivosevich) Vuckovich. “Babe” as she was known to her family and friends worked at Weirton Steel in the Accounting Department for over 30 years. She was a member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, where she was also a member of the Petar Kristich Choir for many years. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Country Club and their Ladies Golf Association. She was also a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club and the Four Seasons. In addition to her parents, Babe was preceded in death by her brother, Nick Vuckovich, her sister, Mary Yurjevic, niece Dorothy Yurjevic, great-niece Andrea Yurjevic Veal and her great-great-nephew, Chad Brackett. She will be remembered with love by her sister Louise (Honey) Vuckovich, her nieces Elaine (Tony) Pietro and Sharon Musulin, her nephews Bob (Georgianna) Yurjevic, and Michael (Carol) Vuckovich and several great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received on Friday, August 21, 2020, from 11:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 12 noon at the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church. Interment will follow in the Serbian Cemetery, Weirton, WV. Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, 528 North 4th Street, Steubenville, OH 43952.
