Milton Brdar, 80, of Charles Town, WV, formerly of Weirton, passed away Monday, May 28, 2007 at the home of his daughter. Out of nineteen children, he was the 16th child born to the late Rade and Catherine Zec Brdar on October 12, 1926 in Youngwood, PA. Milton was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Margaret Brdar and 15 brothers and sisters. With 33 years of service, Milton retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a foreman in the Strip Steel Department. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Macon Georgia during World War II. He was a member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church in Steubenville, the Church Men’s Club, WSX 25-Year Club and the Weirton Masonic Temple. Milton’s survivors include his wife Sophia (Momcilovich) Brdar; daughter Georgine Tedrow and her husband Eugene all of Charles Town, WV; sisters Mildred Zori of Steubenville, OH, Dorothy Gordon of Indiana, PA and Nadeen Bovard of Arlington, VA; 3 grandchildren Aaron Tedrow, Mary Margaret Tedrow-Taylor and Christopher Bahney and 4 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where Pomen Services will be conducted at 7:30 pm. Additional visitation will be held Saturday from 10 until the 11 am funeral services at the Holy Resurrection Eastern Orthodox Church, 528 North 4th Street, Steubenville, OH. Interment will be in the Serbian Cemetery, Steubenville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Court, Martinsburg, WV 25401.   5. Dear Sophia&Georgine, The loss of Mute will be very hard for me to take. A finer,nicer and more fun loving man there never was. Mute was the very top.
