milton ceran
Milton Ceran 74 of Weirton passed away December 26, 2005 at the Weirton Medical Center. He was born March 31, 1931 in Weirton, WV, the son of the late Mike “Matja” and Roza Frketic Ceran. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Smusz and Dorothy Ceran. Milton retired from National Steel Co. where he worked in the Transportation Department where he was a railroad engineer with 43 years of service. He was Lutheran by faith. Milton served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion where he was past Commander, Chaplain and member of the Color Guard; the DAV; Life member of the VFW; 25 year club of Weirton Steel; the Weirton Moose; and the 40 and 8 Club of Weirton. He is survived by his wife Mary Jean Norman Ceran of Weirton; his son M. Matthew Ceran and his wife Carol of New Cumberland, WV; daughters, Dorothy Powell and her husband Richard of New Cumberland, WV, Rosemary K. Ceran Taylor of Weirton, WV, and Patricia Ex and her husband Greg of Plainwell, MI; and brother Dragon Ceran and his wife Edna of Weirton, WV; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton where services will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton where Military services will be conducted by the American Legion Post 10 and the Weirton Honor Guard.
