Nancy Jean Hawthorn, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at The Wyngate in Weirton, WV. Nancy was 88 years old.
Born September 28, 1933, in Pittsburgh, PA, Nancy was one of three children of the late Paul “Bud” and Alice (Dressler) Waterman. Nancy was a dedicated mother and homemaker. Nancy was Lutheran by faith, and in her spare time, she enjoyed reading. Also preceding Nancy in death were her husband, Jesse Hawthorn, and a brother, John Waterman.
Nancy leaves behind her daughters, Rachel (Richard) Bennett of Weirton, WV and Allison (Joseph) Dominick of Munhall, PA, sister, Diane Field, and three grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth Bennett, Alexander Joseph Dominick, and Maranda Dominick.
Friends may visit with Nancy’s family on Saturday, November 27, 2021, from 2 pm until time of the 3 pm memorial service at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Pastor Larry Barkley will officiate.

Dear Rachel and Allison, and your respective families. Linda and I send our sincerest sympathy in the passing of your mother. When we saw her at your father’s funeral, we had an enjoyable visit remembering our friendship from years ago as family members of the Whitehall Fire Company. Your mother and dad were two of our favorite friends during our years with the fire company. We hope fond memories will bring peace to your hearts. Linda and Renny Clark
