Nannie R. Rock

Nannie Rock, 93, of Weirton, passed away on March 12, 2011 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born September 8, 1917 in St. Mary's, WV, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Blanche Delong Pethtel. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth M. Francis and her second husband Pete Rock; sons Kenneth and Edward Francis; brothers Claude, Art, Flay, Calvin, and Solomon Pethtel; and sisters Mary Mae, Martha Pethtel, and Virginia Boone. She is survived by her son William Francis and his wife April of Hebron, IN; daughter Elizabeth Marie; 45 grandchildren and over 60 great grandchildren; brothers Zeddock Pethtel of Parkersburg, WV and Earl Pethtel of Bergolz, OH; sisters Letha McCombs of New Cumberland, WV, Ada Mae Brown of East Liverpool, OH, Emma Dotson of Parkersburg, WV, Ma Dawn Paul of Wintersville, OH, and Blanche Loy of Steubenville, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Private visitation was held at the convenience of her family.
