natalie velto
Natalie M. Velto, 85, of Weirton died Thursday June 30, 2011, at the Weirton Medical Center. Born on Christmas Day in 1925, in McKees Rocks, PA, Natalie was a daughter of the late Patsy and Rose Funwela. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Ernest, Patsy, and Anthony Funwela; and her two sisters, Anne Cappola, and Minnie Pszolkowski.. Natalie was a loving homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, and keeping an immaculate home. After her children were grown, Natalie worked with Ed Klee at the Super X, and later at the Medicine Shoppe. Absolutely no doubt about it, her favorite teams was the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, where she sang in the church choir, and was a Christian Mother. She is survived by her husband, James J. Velto, whom she married on November 11, 1945; her three sons, James F. (Cathy) Velto and David (Leah) Velto all of Weirton, and Michael (Cheri) Velto of Clinton, PA; her daughter, Beverly Velto of Weirton, WV; two sisters, Dolly (Lou) LaCivita, and Babe (Bob) Baron all of McKees Rocks, PA; eight grandchildren, Tracy(Keith) Fluharty, Nicholas (Michelle) Velto, Thomas (Rachel) Velto, Anna (Brad) Nicka, Kate, Emily, Sophia, and Chloe Velto. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 Friday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church.
