Nellie M. Stephens

Nellie M. Stephens, 93, of Weirton, died Monday, June 16, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born September 4, 1909 in Colliers, WV, daughter of the late William and Ella Joyce Cummings. Nellie was also preceded in death by her husband George Stephens, brothers Leo and Ted Cummings and sister June Andrews. Nellie was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, where she also served as a member of the Christian Mothers. She is survived by her son Jack C. Stephens of Weirton; 2 grandchildren, Jack Stephens and Julie Gallagan and her husband Joshua and her favorite nephew, Billy Cummings of Weatherford, Texas. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee.
