Nick Louis Calandros

Nick L. Calandros, 76 of Steubenville, OH died September 5, 2001 at the UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born on February 27, 1925 in Martins Ferry, OH, the son of the late Louis and Calipoe Glavaros Calandros. His first wife Sophie also preceded him in death in 1975. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a retired owner of Columbia Painting Company, and was employed currently by Mountaineer Park and Gaming Resort as a painter. He was a Greek Orthodox Christian, a member of the VFW 2716 and the American Legion Argonne Post 33. His wife, Dianna Kay Spencer Calandros, whom he married on July 9, 1981; his two sons Theodore and his wife Cindy of Clarksburg, WV and William and his wife Tiffany of Mingo Jct., OH; his daughters, Kathleen Pulice of Steubenville and Harriet Calandros- Savoie of Oakridge, TN; his brothers George of Canton OH and Thomas of Piney Flatts, TN; his sisters Mary O’Dell of Norfolk, VA, Anna Pantelos of Moore MI, Evelyn Folizos of Aliquippa, PA, Jessie D’Amots of Baltimore, MD and Stella Zenos of PA; his five grandchildren Rachael McCary, Simone Calandros- Savoie, Julia Calandros, Collin Matthew Pulice and Dawsen Nicholas Pulice, survive. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held 9:30 AM Saturday.
