Nita Marie Fluman, born in Seattle, WA as Nita Shumway, passed on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Weirton, WV. Nita outlived her husbands; Loel Resler and Gary Fluman.
Nita is a former educator, coach, artist, photographer, quilter and master gardener. She loved to gather her family and counted many friends as such. She loved traveling to her favorite places including; China, London, Hawaii and Alaska and had the opportunity to live in more than a dozen states.
She is survived by her children, DeeAnn Greene, Patrick Greene, his wife Maggie Greene and their children William and Meghan Greene, Stepson Michael Resler, his wife Kimberly and Michael’s children Dustin, Meghan and Darla Resler. Stepdaughter Cathy O’Toole, husband Dave and their four children.
In accordance with Nita’s wishes, no visitation or funeral services will be held.

What a wonderful friend and woman. We shared so much. She was President of Westbrook University and the World Congregational Church. She was a marvelous travel companion to Cancun and Hawaii. We could not have been closer if we’d been sisters. She was loved. Judy Ebbesen
