Patricia L. Reese, 65, of Weirton passed away Friday December 27, 2013 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She encourages everyone to have a screening for this disease. Patti was born on August 14, 1948, a daughter of the late Antonio and Phyllis DeMauri Carbasho. Prior to her illness, Patti worked at Mario's Restaurant, was the Head of Housekeeping at the Weirton Holiday Inn, and worked with her son, at J.B. Appliance. When she was not working, she enjoyed cooking, tending to her herb garden, and doing things with and for her beloved grandchildren. She was a member of the BPOE 1801, and also was active on Facebook. Patti is survived by her husband, David L. Reese, whom she married on February 14, 1986; her son, James Pannett (Marcy); her daughter, Melissa "Missy" Pannett Bagienski (Dan); her two brothers, Tony Carbasho, Jr, and Jack Carbasho (Lee); her sisters, Nancy Carroll (Robert), Mary Jean Hall (Ralph), Jo Ann Mattioli (John), and Luvada Tennant; two grandchildren, Katelin Bagienski and Nicholas Pannett (Melissa); and a great grandson, Simon. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Sunday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Monday. Rev. Kevin L. Bowers will preside. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV Patti's family would like to thank Charity Hospice, Trinity West and Dr. Rahman for all of the excellent care that they provided to Patti.
