Patricia Louise Bryan of New Cumberland passed away peacefully as a resident of the Stone Pear Pavilion in Chester; she was 87 years old. Patti was born in Weirton on April 8, 1933, the younger of two daughters born to Harry and Georgetta Loughead Stephenson. She was employed at the former Weirton Steel Corporation, later retiring from the Hancock County Tax Office with over twenty years of service. She was very active with her Weir High Graduating Class of 1951, staying in close touch with her classmates and making lifelong memories. Additionally, establishing long-lasting friendships through her association with her card club. Patti enjoyed college football, and she was known to cheer on the WVU Mountaineers. She nourished her faith at Fairview Presbyterian Church in New Manchester. In addition to her parents, Patti was preceded in death by her husband James W. Bryan, who passed away, November 11, 2019, her son Scott Bryan and sister Margaret “Peg” Turner. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, J.W. (Amy) Bryan of New Cumberland, Jamie (Debbie) Bryan of Wheeling, grandchildren Tyler Bryan, Morgan Hoder and Corey and Catie Bryan, and great-granddaughter Bella Hoder. Patti’s family will receive friends Wednesday, March 31, from 4-7 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, 304-748-3219, where funeral services will be held Thursday, April 1, at 11 AM. Rev. Greg Meade will officiate. Interment will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery. Share tributes and memories at www.grecohertnick.com.
