Patsy Fratto

Patsy Fratto, 89, of Lewisville, TX, formerly of Weirton, died Tuesday, February 12, 2002, at the Medical Center of Lewisville. He was born November 11, 1912 in San Giovanni, Italy, son of the late John and Maria Rosa Romano Fratto. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Tony and Emelio Fratto, and one sister, Mary Loria. Patsy started working as a barber at age 13. He owned and operated the Deluxe Barber Shop in Weirton from 1940-1975. He retired at age 75. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, St. Joseph’s Holy Name Society, American Legion Post 10, VFW #2716, and Knights of Columbus #3734. He served in the U.S. Army. Patsy is survived by his wife, Emma Molnar Fratto of Lewisville, TX; a son, John Fratto of Lewisville, TX; three daughters, Mary Ann Svagerko of Madison, OH, Elizabeth Fratto of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Michelle Moran of Tyler, TX; one brother, Louie Fratto of Erie, WV; one sister Ann Gain of Weirton; four grandsons, two granddaughters, two step grandsons, and one great granddaughter. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Weirton. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton, where military services will be performed by the American Legion , VFW, and Tri-State Marine Corps.
