Peter Jay Kinzler

Peter Kinzler of Weirton passed away under his partner Lynn's tender and loving care at his residence on Owings Street on Friday, November 12. He was 62 years old. He was born in Carnegie, PA, on January 27, 1959, a son of the late Alfred and Grace Catanese Kinzler. Peter was a 1977 graduate of Carlynton High School in Carnegie, PA. He worked for many years with Crown Communications spending much of his past twelve years as an oil field tech with the Oil Patch Group. Peter enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending many enjoyable days at Cross Creek and Potter County, PA. On Sunday afternoons, you would usually find Peter in front of his tv, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. His family described him as a friendly, light-hearted man who never took life too seriously. He had a good sense of humor, always making people laugh with his jokes. In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his nephew Michael Gangone. Remembering him fondly at home is his partner of twelve years, Lynn Fujan, his son Adam Kinzler of Pittsburgh, brother Alfred Kinzler of Carnegie, sisters Cathy (Louie) Gangone, Lisa (John) Lohman, all of Carnegie, nephew, Ian Kinzler, nieces Nicole Kinzler, Maria and Lauren Lohman and Danielle Gangone. The family’s request for cremation has been honored. Peter is in the care of the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton.
