Peter Paul Rodak, 88, of Imperial, Pennsylvania, formerly of Weirton, died Sunday, December 15, 2002 in the Ohio Valley Hospital, McKees Rocks, PA. He was born July 12, 1914 in New Salem, PA, son of the late Michael and Suzanne Swartz Rodak. Also preceding Pete were his wife Ruth Hendershot Rodak on February 2, 1996; step-mother Mary Rodak and 2 sisters Mary Yacos and Helen Harcarik. From 1940 until his retirement in 1982, Pete owned and operated Rodak’s Men Shop in Weirton. Pete served in the US Army during World War II. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, VFW #2716, American Legion Post 10, Knights of Columbus #3734 and was a former Board of Director for Citizens Bank. He is survived by his sons Robert and his wife Rebecca of Charleston, WV, Rick and his wife Beth of Imperial, PA and Stephen of California, MD; daughter Renee Gaston and her husband Chuck of Moon Township, PA; brother Michael Rodak of Cheverly, MD; 2 sisters Susan Callas and Bertha Letcher both of Weirton; 4 grandchildren Rae Ann Rodak, Lee Ellen Rodak, Christian Rodak and Katelyn Gaston. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18 from 2:00 – 4:00PM and 7:00 – 9:00PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church on Thursday. Rev. Father Ed Lucas will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville. Parastas Service will be held Wednesday at 8:30PM. Memorial contributions can be sent to St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 3116 Elm Street, Weirton, WV 26062.
