Peter Wolfe, Jr., 87, of Weirton died Saturday May 1, 2004, at the Weirton Geriatric Center. He was born on January 26, 1917, in Youngstown, OH, the son of the late Peter and Julia Vasas Wolfe. Peter was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Emil and Paul. Pete moved to Weirton, with his family, in 1924. Pete was a retired owner and operator of the Ferry Road Inn, and the Grand Café in Weirton for 37 years. He also retired from the City of Weirton Waste Treatment Plant, as a operator in training. Pete was a member, and past vice- president of the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church, Saint Nicholas Men’s Club, BPOE 1801, Three Score Seniors Club, a life member of the Colliers and Hancock County Sportsmen’s Clubs. Pete was a founding member of the Pleasant Valley Country Club, and the Weirton Marina Boat Club, where he served as the boat club’s treasurer for seven years. He is survived by his wife, Stella Chuma Wolfe; his two daughters, Madeline Hennon, and her husband Don of Sewickley, PA, and Patricia Barnabei, and her husband Richard of Weirton, WV; seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Donald, Robert, and Scott Hennon and Brian, Beth and Marcy Barnabei; three great grandchildren, Megan, Kathryn and Daniel Hennon; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Monday, at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV Parastas services will be held at 8:30 PM Monday in the funeral home. Additional visitation will be Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM at the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church, Weirton. V.Rev. Fr. Theodore Shomsky will preside. Interment will follow, at the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church Memorial Fund.
