Ralph E. McNeely

Ralph E. McNeely, 83, of Weirton, passed away Monday, February 25, 2008 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born June 9, 1924 in Deep Valley, PA, he was the son of the late Samuel and Lucy Kimble McNeely. Ralph was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 6 sisters. With over 25 years of service, Ralph retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a brakeman in the Transportation Department. He attended the Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the WSX 25-Year Club. He served in the US Army Military Police during World War II, having received the Purple Heart Accommodation. Ralph is survived by his wife Patricia Williams McNeely, son Kevin McNeely and his wife Roxann all of Weirton; grandchildren Ralph Kevin McNeely and Seana Eva Mae McNeely and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be celebrated 12 noon Thursday.
