regina finnegan
Regina Ann Finnegan, 77, of Weirton, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born April 21, 1933 in Wheeling, WV, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine DeMatte Kloss. She was also preceded in death by her husband Donald L. Finnegan on March 16, 2003. Mrs. Finnegan was a homemaker, a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Weirton, Christian Mothers, Ancient Order of Hibernians, 3 Score Seniors and AARP. She was also active in the Weirton Elks Lodge 1801. Regina is survived by her son Patrick "Fish" Finnegan; daughter Karen Gallagher and her husband Tim all of Weirton; brothers Dr. Joseph Kloss and his wife Lina of Akron, OH, John "Jack" Kloss and his wife Jean, Charlie and William Kloss all of Bridgeport, OH. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where an Ancient Order of Hibernians service will be conducted at 7pm. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10am Thursday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Larry Dorsch officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elks National Foundation, 2750 North Lakeview Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614.

Mrs. Finnegan was always there for us–she took us to the library, took us to ball games, and always reached out to us as kids, no matter what project we got ourselves into. She and I were on a few committees together at St. Paul Church and she was always smiling and very helpful. I will miss her. Remember, this death is not the end but a glorious beginning for her.   24. Fish and Karen, please accept our sympathies. We were both very surprised to see her obituary in the paper. Your mother was a sweet lady. We saw her at bingo at the KofC, and at the Madonna picnics. She never had an unkind word for anyone, and was always pleasant to be around.
