Richard J. "Dick" Marshall
December 9, 1945 ~ January 4, 2021
Richard Joseph “Dick” Marshall of Weirton passed away on January 4, 2021, from complications of a recent battle with COVID-19. He was 75.
Richard was born in Charleston, WV on December 9, 1945, the only child born to Dr. Walter Eugene and Pauline S. Steirman Marshall.
Dick as he was known to his family and friends was a client of the Hancock County Sheltered Workshop for 35 years.
In his free time, Dick enjoyed walking and visiting people along the way. He never met a stranger. A talented bowler, He looked forward every year bowling in the Special Olympics.
Dick will always be remembered for his friendly outgoing personality.
Dick nourished his faith at the Cove Presbyterian Church in Weirton.
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his aunt, Dorotha Schreiner; and his cousin David Schreiner.
He will be remembered with love by his cousins, Gary and Jeryl Schreiner and Michael and Janet Schreiner.
Due to the pandemic, private services will be observed by his family.
Dick will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton, WV
