Richard L. Craig, 71, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born August 13, 1939 in Weirton, he was a son of the late Wayne and Katherine Monseau Craig. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Tamara Schwartz, two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Craig retired from Weirton Steel and was currently working as a security guard at Weirton Medical Center. He was Catholic by faith.
Richard is survived by his wife Evelyn Beverly Painter Craig of Weirton; daughters Sandra Bartrug, Cynthia Williams and Amanda Thompson all of Weirton; grandchildren Richard Michael Ross, Ashley Bartrug, Lena Craig and Danielle Williams and three sisters.
Friends will be received Friday from 10am until the 12pm funeral services at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Reverend Darrel Cashdollar will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.

Rich and I worked together for years and it’s a shock to read of his passing. We had many good times at work and at Cooches and the Shamrock. My thoughts and prayers with the family at this sad time.
