rickie minger
Rickie Lee Minger of New Cumberland, WV, formerly of Imperial, PA died Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at the Weirton Medical Center from complications from COVID-19 virus. He was 46 years old. Rickie was born in Weirton, WV on July 26, 1975, to Louis and Laurinda Mellott Minger. He grew up in Weirton, WV, and graduated from Brooke High School in 1993. Rickie then continued his education at the West Virginia Northern Community College where he earned an associate degree. A hard worker, Rickie was presently employed as a Logistics Manager at R.A.S. Logistics in Leetsdale, PA. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to classic rock and heavy metal, playing video games, watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and his University of Michigan Wolverines. But nothing compared to the times he cherished with his two sons, Austin and Jacob, and his nieces, Meghan and Britney. A big teddy bear, Rickie will always be remembered for the love he had for his family, his quick wit, and his love for laughter. Words that could be used to describe Rickie would be kind-hearted, hard-headed, genuine and stubborn. Rickie was baptized and confirmed at the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Weirton. His family was very important to Rickie. He would do anything for them. He will be remembered with love by his two sons, Austin and Jacob Minger; his father, Louis Minger and his wife Georgia McMillian Minger; his mother, Laurinda Mellott Good and her husband, Dale Good; his sister, Jennifer (Shane) Foster; his nieces, Meghan and Britney Foster; step- sister and step- brother, Jessica McMilllan and Russell Winland; many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and friends who also loved him dearly. Visitation will be Saturday January 1, 2022, from 2 PM until 7:30 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where the Liturgy of the Word Service will be held at 7:30 PM. Rev. Fr. Tony Thurston will preside. The Minger family invites friends and family to join them from Noon until 4 PM on Sunday January 2, 2022 for a memorial luncheon for Rickie held at Giovanni’s Restaurant 3013 Pennsylvania Avenue Weirton, WV. We made the the king “trip” from Brooke High to the Cove Road stop just flyby. Another memory that I will have is out money making scheme of selling Beta Fish. But you gave to call me for that story. 3. Oh, my big brother…what am I going to do without you. I feel like a piece of me is now gone, when you had left us. You were my rock and I was yours. You knew that you can always depend on me for anything. We always told each other, “I love you more than you’ll ever know.” And that statement was and is so very true, because I’ll love you forever and always. We always said we would grow old together and always be there for each other no matter what. One day we will be together again. But for now, I’ll be seeing you in my dreams. I’ll always love you Rickie….. your little sis.

  4. He was a good father, he always hung out with me and my brother, i hope he has a great time in heaven and we will seem him again.

  5. Hard to believe you’re gone, but you will NEVER be forgotten. You will live on in the hearts of so many. Until we meet again..

  6. When I first met you at work I didn’t know if you were going to stick around. Almost 20 years later and you exceeded my expectations by not only becoming a great worker but a great friend too. We’ve had so much fun playing pranks on people and getting our jobs done. You were always there for me and I am truly honored to call you one of my best friends. Rest in peace Rick.

  7. My brother MichaelMiners best friend and neighbor for many years he always was so happy and goofy you will be greatly missed so sorry to all of his family and friends Rip Ricky .Laurie Spence.

  8. My deepest sympathy for your family’s loss. I worked with Rick for almost 10 years at Bulldog office products. He and I used to spar back and forth jokingly. He will be remembered by me as a big old funny guy with his dry quick wit. Sincerely Kristen Knox

  9. I am so heartbroken to hear about this sad news! Rick was one of my managers at RAS logistics, and truly one of the kindest hearted people I have had the pleasure of coming across in my life. He was always so ready and willing to lend a helping hand or an earful of helpful advice! My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family! Heaven received a truly wonderful soul; your spirit and love will live on in the lives of so many that you have impacted, Rick! Rest well my friend, share a laugh for us while you look over this world! Until we meet again!
