Rita (Doyle) Klash
January 17, 1945 ~ April 13, 2004
Rita (Doyle) Klash, 59, of Weirton, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born January 17, 1945 in Steubenville, OH, she was the daughter of Rose (Mlinac) Gasvoda of Follansbee and the late Paul Gasvoda.
Rita was a homemaker and Catholic by faith.
In addition to her mother, Rita’s survivors include her husband Kenneth D. Klash of Weirton; son Keith Carpenter and his wife Jody of Colliers; daughters Carolyn Naughton of Mercer, PA and Dina Lahita and her husband John of Follansbee; step-sons Duane Klash of York, PA and Ron Klash of Silver Spring, MD; step-daughter Carole Perrone of Weirton; brothers Paul Gasvoda of Wellsburg, WV and Nick Gasvoda of Michigan; sisters Rosemary Herron of Follansbee and Theresa Sherwood of Toronto, OH; grandchildren Shane and Jenna Naughton, Ashley Carpenter, Estella Lahita, Natalie Perrone, Gentry Klash, Lori Klash and Shannan Paschke.
Friends will be received Thursday from 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be held at 12:00PM Friday with Reverend Father Tony Thurston presiding. Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Weirton.
