Robert Lee Susan, 81, of Weirton, WV, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 21, 2022. Robert was born on September 15, 1940, in Steubenville, OH, to Bogdan Susan and Helen Kochey Susan. Bob graduated from Weir High School in 1958. In 1963 he was drafted into the United States Army and served his country from 1963 to 1965. On August 17, 1967, he was the best man in a wedding. This is where he met bridesmaid Connie Lee Helmick. Connie and Bob were married on October 5, 1968. God has blessed them with two daughters, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Bob cherished the times he spent with his family. Bob provided for his family as a laborer at Signode and later as a clerk in the storeroom at Weirton Medical Center. Around his home, he enjoyed taking care of his lawn and keeping his home immaculate with nothing out of place. Bob and Connie were married and raised their daughters at the Evangel Baptist Church. Most recently, they nourished their faith at Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church. Robert will be remembered with love by his wife Connie Susan; his daughters, Lee Ann (Joseph) Smith and Lori (Scott) Zimmerman; grandchildren, Amber and Josie Smith, Erica, and Logan Zimmerman; and great-grandchildren Reagan Ritchie and Lyla McCombs. In life, Bob was a private person. His family is honoring him with a private family service at Grandview Cemetery, Florence, PA.   5. I always enjoyed talking to Bob when he was sitting outside on his swing. The conversations were always interesting and fun. My deepest sympathies to his family

  6. Hard to believe a year has passed. Our memories are still fresh. He is missed, but his essence is always there among us. He sits at the table with us, he sits on the swing, and rocks in his chair and the most precious is that he listens, even in his absence.
    We become more gentle and more content when we think of him. You have left some of yourself with each of us, Bobbo!
