Robert J. Duboy, of Weirton, passed away peacefully at Trinity Medical Center West on Monday, December 14, 2020; he was 87 years old. A son of the late John and Julia Watchko Duboy, Robert was born in Detroit, Michigan October 1, 1933. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Jean Lockhart, on November 23, 1983. Robert was retired from the City of Weirton after 25 years with the street department. A member of Saint Mary Byzantine Catholic Church in Weirton, Robert was widely known for assisting the church in many facets and making sure the priests received the help they needed. A member of the Greek Catholic Union, he also held membership in the Saint Mary’s Men’s club. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. Robert will be remembered with love by his wife, Ann M. Egnot, sisters, Constance Novak of Virginia Beach, VA., Mary Ann Novak of Perryopolis, PA., stepdaughter, Cathy Dzambo, step grandsons, Stephen and Andrew Dzambo along with many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday at 10 am at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, where a Blessing Service will be conducted at 10:30 am, followed by the 11 am Funeral Liturgy at Saint Mary Byzantine Catholic Church. Father Vasyl Symyon will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. In lieu of floral arrangements and gifts, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church Building Fund, 3116 Elm Street, Weirton, WV 26062.
