Robert Michael Hornak, 86, of Weirton died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his home. Born May 14, 1929 in Weirton, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary (Molchan) Hornak. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Michelle Folio, his first wife Pearl Kuczykowski, and brother Henry Hornak. Robert worked for National Steel, at the Steubenville plant, in instrumentation. He was an Army veteran, an avid golfer and a member of Saint Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Sylvia H. (Hall) Hornak of Weirton, son Robert (Beth) Hornak Jr., of Youngwood, PA, daughter Barbara (Tom) Tolley of Alexandria, VA, son-in-law Mark (Linda) Folio, step-son's Raymond Horner and James (Debbie) Horner Jr., step-daughter Veronica Dent, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and sister Violet Arbutin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12PM until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton. The Revered Father Vasyl Symyon will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 3116 Elm Street, Weirton, WV 26062.
