Ronald P. Read, 50, of Weirton, passed away Monday, February 28, 2005 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born August 29, 1954 in Altoona, PA, he was the son of Virginia Wilt Read of Stoystown, PA and the late Thomas Read. He is also preceded in death by a brother Robert Read. Ronald was the owner and operator of Ron’s Lawn Service in Weirton, was a former employee of Eastern Airlines where he worked for 15 years and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Pamela (Bailey) Read of Weirton; son Ronnie Read, Jr. at home; daughters Kelly Read of Greentree, PA and Shaunna Read at home; brothers Thomas Read, Jr. of Pennsylvania, Paul Read of North Carolina, Bill Read of Louisiana and Phillip Read of Pennsylvania; sisters Mary Kay Frye of North Carolina and Donna Sambol, Emily Frazier and Leora Read all of Pennsylvania. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday 7-9PM and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Saturday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Weirton.
