Ronald “Ron” Wade, 77, formerly of Weirton, WV passed from his earthly life on August 4, 2020, and is now rejoicing with the Lord. Ron was born in Parkersburg, WV on October 10, 1942, the only child born to Melvin and Grace Freeland Wade. He grew up in New Martinsville, WV where his family-owned and operated a nursing home. As a young man, he helped run his family’s nursing home in Littleton, WV before moving to Weirton to work at Weirton Steel. Ron was a receiving clerk in the central stores before retiring after 25 years. Ron was a loyal member, deacon, usher, and treasurer of the Tri-State Church of God in Weirton for over 30 years. Ron enjoyed photography and traveling to Tennessee and numerous southern destinations. The last several years he enjoyed living with and traveling with his cousin Sheila and her husband Bill to their home in Florida and elsewhere. He was always excited to visit new places with family. Ron was a kind and gentle soul that lived his life with unwavering devotion to serving others and maintaining a simple, innocent lifestyle. He loved to watch old westerns and especially the Andy Griffin TV show. With a great sense of humor, a twinkle in his eye and an eye for fashion, Ron always liked to look dapper, especially in church. Most of all, Ron will be remembered for his love for the Lord and his church. His entire life he loved to read the Bible.
