Rosalie R. Jeffrey Coxen, 98, of Weirton, died Sunday September 29, 2019, at her home. She was born October 11, 1920 near Toronto, OH, a daughter of the late John G. and Lena Russell Jeffrey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Coxen in 1965, a sister, Gail Jeffrey in 1953, a stepson, Paul A. Coxen in 1998, and three brothers, John R. Jeffrey in 2012, Wayne (Jane) Jeffrey in 2015, and Dwight (Erewanna) Jeffrey in 2019. Rosalie was a former schoolteacher in Jefferson County Schools and Toronto Public Schools She was a member of Cove Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder, Sunday School teacher, and was active in the Presbyterian Women. She was also a member of GFWC Weirton Woman’s Club. Rosalie will be remembered with love by her daughter, Mrs. Bart (Cindy) Boggia; her three sons, Milan (Susan) Coxen, Larry (Nancy) Coxen, and Roger (Lisa) Coxen/Kocijan; her five grandchildren, Bart M. (Jennifer) Boggia, Megan (Joshua) Horowitz, Aaron, Brandon and Lauren Coxen; her three step great grandchildren, Brooke, Jason, and Maxwell Elerick; her two great grandsons, Jacob and A.J. Horowitz; and her brother John’s wife, Jean Jeffrey. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Friday at the Greco - Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday. Interment will follow at the Bloomingdale Cemetery.   1. My deepest condolences to Mrs. Coxen’s family. I am so sad to hear of her passing. She was my 4th grade teacher, and she was the best. I am so happy that I was able to visit her last year, and stay in contact with her. Such a wonderful, beautiful person. I will always think of her fondly with love. Marie Restifo

  4. I am so terribly sorry to hear of Rosalie’s passing. My first thought was her talking to my mom in heaven. They were such very close friends so they have lots of catching up to do. My condolences to all of you. She was a special lady.
