Rose Palumbo

Rose Palumbo, 86, of Weirton died Friday, May 28, 2004 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born June 16, 1917 in Gallo, Italy, a daughter of the late Dominic and Maria Pirraglia. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Pete Palumbo; daughter, Mary Lestini; one brother; and two sisters.
Rose was a homemaker, a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Sons of Italy, and the Weirton Senior Citizens Center.
Rose is survived by four daughters, Dolores Ribar and her husband Robert of Jacksonville, FL, Gloria Walulik and her husband David of North Canton, OH, Rose Marie Zias and her husband Pete of Weirton, and Loretta Palumbo of Steubenville, OH; two brothers, Dominic and Tony Pirraglia, both of New York; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 1 PM until time of Funeral Mass at 2 PM at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton with Rev. Fr. Anthony Cincinnati presiding. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, is handling the arrangements.

Your Mom was a beautiful lady.I was blest to have known her even for a short time. She brightened everyone’s day while she was at Brighwood. She was such a good friend to my Mother-in-Law, Ginch. You are all in my prayers at this time. Angel DiPasquale
