Roxie Jenkins

Roxie Jenkins, 91, of Weirton, died Sunday, February 3, 2002, at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born October 22, 1910, in Kincheloe, WV, the daughter of the late Hiram and Lora (Richards) Richards. Her husband, Garnet F. Jenkins, four brothers, Edgar, Harry, Frank, and Stanley Richards, and two sisters, Pearl Bailey and Gaye Hutson, also preceded her in death. Roxie was a homemaker and was Baptist by faith. She was a member of the Freedom Place I Tenants Club and AARP. Roxie is survived by three sons, Lyndall Jenkins and his wife Mary Ellen of Weirton, Richard Jenkins and his wife Columbia Jane of West Milford, WV, and Wallace Jenkins and his wife Stephanie of Auburn, CA; one daughter, Sheila Barnes and her husband Ronald of Watertown, NY; two brothers, Fred and Earl Richards of Big Isaac, WV; one sister, Ruth Titus of Kincheloe, WV; 17 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, WV. Additional visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Greathouse Funeral Home, Salem WV, where funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday. Interment will be in Mt.
