Russell D. Harbert, 81, of Weirton died Tuesday December 23, 2014 at Trinity West Medical Center in Steubenville, OH. Born on August 1, 1933 in Doddridge County, WV, Russell was a son of the late Russell and Vonda Hill Harbert. He was also preceded in death by his four brothers, Paul, Sam, Nile and Bob Harbert; and his four sisters, Louise Kralovic, Karen Sue Harbert, Virginia Dotson, and Betty Noel. Russell retired from Weirton Steel Corporation after 39 years of service, where he was a crane operator in the Blooming Mill. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Russell was a member of Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Weirton Steel 25 Year Club, American Legion Post 10; VFW 2716, Knights of Columbus 472 and a past member of the Moose Lodge 688. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Dasta Harbert, whom he married on July 27, 1957; his three sons, Bob of Weirton, WV, Chuck of Wheeling, WV and Tom of Westerville, OH; His two daughters, Cathy Harbert and Theresa Harbert DiGirolamo both of Weirton, WV; his eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 Noon on Saturday at Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Weirton, WV. Rev. Fr. Larry Dorsch will preside. Interment will follow at Saint Paul Cemetery, Weirton where funeral services will be conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Jude's Children's Hospital, One Saint Jude Place Box 1000, Memphis TN 38148-0552 www.stjude.org or St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 140 Walnut Street, Weirton, WV 26062.

    a blessing to my life. Gonna miss You Mr. Harbert but will see you
