Ruth Elaine Bodo

Ruth Elaine Bodo, 84, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 in the Weirton Medical Center. She was born July 12, 1935 in St. Mary’s, WV, a daughter of the late Archie B. and Marie E. Boley Lamp. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Donald Lamp, Sanford Boley and infant Blaire Lamp. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of the Steubenville Salvation Army, where she proudly taught Sunday School. She was a member of the League of Mercy and loved drawing and working puzzle books. She is survived by her son Louis (Kathy) Povich of Wintersville, OH; daughter Laura Hjaltelin of Steubenville; brothers Ronald Lamp of Lake City, PA and Harold Lamp of Steubenville; sister Kathleen McGaughey of Toronto, OH; grandchildren Miranda Lazic, Natasha (Chris) Clancy and Jelena Povich and great-grandchildren Vesna and Stefan Lazic and Logan and Leo Clancy. Friends will be received Friday from 1:00 until the 4:00 PM funeral service at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Lieutenant Erik Muhs will officiate.
