Sandra Jean Makricosta

Sandra Jean Makricosta, 59, of Weirton, WV died Sunday September 29, 2019. Born on April 19, 1960 in Mineral Wells TX, Sandra was a daughter of the late Marion Francis Fluharty and Alice Ann McNaughten Fluharty Lindsey. She was also preceded in death by her step father, William Lindsey; and her brother, David Lee Lindsey. In her youth, Sandra was a beautiful little girl with a beautiful big smile. She grew into an awesome mother with a loving and beautiful heart. She will always be remembered for her common sense, her intelligence, and her gentleness and love as she volunteered her time to the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, in Weirton. She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Anthony (Tony) “Greek” Makricosta of Weirton; sons, David James Fluharty of Weirton, WV, and Joshua Bosely of Bridgeport, WV; daughter, Natasha Haught of Bridgeport, OH; sisters, Mary Alice Frank of Weirton, WV, Tina Louise Lindsey of Mc Allen, TX and Carol Ann Folk of Mineral Wells, TX; sister in law, Pam Makricosta; and her All Saints Greek Orthodox family who dearly embraced her and Tony. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where services will be held 11 AM Wednesday. Rev. Fr. Frank A. Milanese will preside.
