Shannon Fay Marie Jewell

Shannon Fay Marie Jewell, 46, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 in the Weirton Medical Center. She was born July 11, 1973 in Weirton, a daughter of Judith Buchanan Rowles of Weirton and the late Thomas J. Blackburn III. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather Donald Rowles. Shannon received her Nursing Degree at WV Northern and was retired from UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh. She always enjoyed being with her family, watching movies and walking her dog, Shelby. “Hug me like you love me!” was her favorite saying. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter DeJae Jewell (Jordan Thompson) of Colliers, WV; granddaughter Jaedan Thompson; daughter Taylor Jewell (Nate Krah) of Canonsburg, PA; boyfriend James Heilman of Weirton; sisters Tracy (Eric) Rice and Aimee Bludis all of Weirton; nephews Devon Rice and Josh Kolling and, last but not least, her Hunny Bunny, Hunter Namath. Friends will be received Thursday from 5 until the 7pm memorial service at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. The Reverend Dr. Ed Rudiger will officiate.
