Shawn Edward Cain, 39, of Colliers, WV, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his home due to natural causes. Born May 9, 1974 in Steubenville, OH, he was the son of Deborah Williamson Cain of Colliers and the late Terry Lee Cain. Shawn worked as an IT Analyst for Crown Castle Corporation, Canonsburg, PA. He enjoyed restoring vintage computers and had a love for music that was inherited from his father. Shawn enjoyed performing with his bands, The Madhatter Band and Milo & the Ranch Worms, as well as sitting in with his brother at various venues. Shawn built his life around his son, Eli, making sure that he had everything he needed. One of his favorite pastimes was watching movies and playing computer games with his son. Even though Shawn had a creative and intelligent mind, he will always be remembered for his quick wit and sarcasm. To know him was to say "Hmm". In addition to his mother, Debbie, he is survived by his son Eli Cain of Follansbee, WV; brother Brett Cain of Fullerton, CA; maternal grandmother Vonnie Williamson of Colliers; his girlfriend Rochette Carelly of Imperial, PA and many friends he made along the way. In accordance with Shawn's wishes, his body was cremated. Visitation will be held Saturday from 4 until the 6pm funeral services at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Shawn's friends will celebrate his life. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eli Cain College Fund.

  7. This is so hard to write i grew up with the Cains they were my family. Even though i haven’t seen them for awhile i know i could count on them anytime for anything. We all grew up together in the greatest neighborhood and we all had the best childhood. We have a bond that can never be broken. I never thought Shawn would leave us so soon but i have wonderful memories to help get me through and that i would love to share with others in hopes to help ease their pain.I could go on and on about Shawn and his family but we all know what an amazing family they are. Just mention neighborhood wrestling to Shawn or Brett and their faces would light up. My family is here for support and anything you may need. I hope you find peace and strength. so many people love you and are here for you.

Shawn, You were a very kind & thoughful boy.I do rember an event that involved you from my childhood.Your mom kept Billy & I for the weekend.You entertained us by sharing your wheels with us.You were proud of your ride.I road your new “big wheel” through an enormous puddle of West Virginia mud.Your ride & I were filthy from the chain of events.You reacted with kindness & an infectious laugh.Then your mom cleaned me up & put me in your clothing until mine were laundered.Shawn thanks for the memory!I am deeply sorry about your passing.
