Sherry Ann Swiger, 57 of Weirton passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born July 29, 1962 in Steubenville, OH she was a daughter of the late Mike and Shirley Wenzel Sciarrino. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother Michael Sciarrino. Sherry’s greatest joy in life was being NaNa to her two grandsons. She was a people person, meeting friends everywhere she went. She was a long-time fan of the Weir High School band and also participated in the Alumni Band. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Sherry will be lovingly remembered by her husband Mark Swiger; son Michael (Stephanie) Swiger of Weirton; daughter Amanda Buracchio of McMechen, WV; grandsons Vance Swiger and Santino Buracchio; brother Anthony (Debbie) Sciarrino of Weirton; sisters Micky (Jerry) Fulmer of Weirton, Kim (Keith) White of Weirton and Vikki (John) Kutcher of Cadiz, OH as well as several nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her dearly. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Reverend Father Babu Joseph Elamturuthil will officiate.
