shirlee baltich
Shirlee Ann Baltich, 86, of Weirton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 8, 2021, and is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. On January 23, 1935, she was born a daughter of the late Alex and Anna Kushlak Gryskevich. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, “Mitch,” who passed away on April 28, 2015, brothers John, Alex, and Larry and sisters Mary, Jeannie, Dolores, and Zanovia. Shirlee was a homemaker, a member, and past president of the Weirton Woman’s Club. She retired from L.S. Jewelers with over twenty-five years as a loyal and faithful employee. Before that, she worked for WesBanco/Citizens Bank for several years. Shirlee had many beautiful attributes, but she was best known for her loving ways in every aspect of her life, her never-ending kindness, and always thinking about others before herself. She will be remembered with love and affection by her daughter Jan Baltich of Weirton, her God Daughter, Sarah Wright of Weirton, many nieces and nephews, and her dog Keely, with whom she shared a most special bond. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 11, 2021, from 4-7 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, 304-748-3219, where private funeral services will be held Monday, April 12. Pastor Gary Lilly will officiate. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In Shirlee's memory, memorial contributions may be made to The Weirton Woman’s Club, 136 Sampson Way, Weirton, WV 26062. Jan would like to thank her loving family and friends for all the love, support, and special moments shared with Shirlee over the past few years and for the most unforgettable and amazing memories that we shared at “The Bird Bath” last summer.
