stanley cashdollar, sr.
Stanley Cashdollar, Sr, 77, of Burgettstown, PA, formerly of Weirton, passed away Monday, August 08, 2005 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born January 8, 1928 in Meadowbrook, WV, he was the son of the late Stanley Chalmer and Julia Vanscoy Cashdollar. Stanley was also preceded in death by his wife Dolores “Dolly” M. Wallace Cashdollar on May 18, 1995, son, Stanley “Bucky” Cashdollar, Jr. on October 29, 2000; a daughter in law Debra Marie Cashdollar on February 3, 2000, and sister, Betty Mellott on January 25, 1998. After 38 years of service, Stanley retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a side trimmer operator in the Tin Mill. He attended the Paris Church of the Nazarene and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. 2716, Evert Maki American Legion Post 10 and the Weirton Community Radio Watch. He was also a member of the WSX 25-Year Club and the N.R.A. Stanley served in the US Army during World War II and the Korean War. Stanley’s survivors include his son William R. Cashdollar and his wife Eileen of Follansbee; daughter Tamera Sutherin and her husband Dean of Burgettstown with whom he resided; brother Edward Cashdollar of Burgettstown; grandchildren Rebecca DeFrank and her husband Christopher, Dean Sutherin, Bill Cashdollar, Erin Sutherin and Shannon Cashdollar and step-grandchildren Kelli Niesslein and Sam Niesslein. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9PM Tuesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be conducted at 11AM on Wednesday with Rev. Darrell Cashdollar presiding. Entombment will be at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens in Follansbee where military services will be conducted. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paris Church of the Nazarene, 170 Standish Rd, Georgetown, PA 15043.
