Stanley Frank Hawrot, 98, of Weirton, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, passing away peacefully while residing with his son. He was born September 28, 1922, in Weirton, a son of the late John and Anna Wojdyla Hawrot. He was also preceded in death by his wife Olga Agnes Pagur Hawrot, brother Fred Hawrot and sister Bernice Yonchewski. A hard worker known to all, Stanley was employed for thirty plus years by Weirton Steel Corporation, retiring as the Supply Shop Foreman. He was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church. A member of the Weirton Steel 25 year club and the PNA Weirton lodge 3001, he spent his time enjoying his family and fishing when he could. An avid baseball fan, Stanley enjoyed watching and attending Pittsburgh Pirates games. He proudly served his country from 1943-1946 in the United States Coast Guard. Stanley is survived by his sons Stanley Hawrot of Charles Town, WV and Dan (Lynette) Hawrot of Steubenville, OH; daughters Janet Anders and spouse Roger Neal Lewis of Houston, TX and Diane (Ed) Rader of Davis, WV; grandchildren Joshua (Cruz) Hawrot, Rebekah (Jesse) Weigel, Zachary (Amanda) Hawrot, Jonathan Anders, Amanda Anders, Seth Rader, and Nathaniel Rader and twelve great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday 9:30 – 10:30am Saturday at Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, followed by a 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial. The Reverend Father Anthony G. Thurston will officiate. Entombment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.   8. Sorry that we could not attend – we’re isolating. I (Marion) visited with Cousin Stan at Carol Ann’s memorial – he was so bright – only through his Obit did I come to know of his age.
