tawny maslowski
Tawny Lynn Maslowski, 48 of Weirton passed suddenly Saturday Morning, May 2, 2020, at the residence of her Aunt Charlotte and Uncle George Vargo. Tawny was born June 12, 1971, in Steubenville to Joseph and Elizabeth “Doll” Tokash Maslowski. She was a 1989 graduate of Weirton Madonna High School. She nourished her faith at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church and was a faithful worker at the church picnics, usually staying all day to help. Tawny’s passion was caring for others. After her Aunt Norma passed away, Norma’s husband Joe moved in with the Vargo’s. It was Tawny’s pleasure to care for him and to make Joe’s life as enjoyable as possible. Tawny was like a mother. She was always caring for the little ones of her family. Everyone felt at ease when Tawny was left in charge. She was a true black and gold fan, cheering and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. But the true fan in her life was her cat Paczki. They spent a lot of time together, and he will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her aunt Norma Tokash. Tawny will be remembered with love by her brother Joseph “JJ” Maslowski, her Aunt Charlotte and Uncle George Vargo, Uncles Joseph and Paul(Donna) Tokash, and many cousins all from Weirton. A private family-only visitation and service will be held Sunday Evening at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Lilly will officiate Please visit www.grecohertnick.com to send a written or video tribute or a “Hug from Home” to the Maslowski Family.
