Thelma Louise Barnhart, 87, of Weirton was called home to her Lord on Sunday January 7, 2007 at the home of her daughter. She was born August 21, 1919 in Colliers WV, the daughter of the late Jerome and Nancy Koher Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester M. Barnhart Sr., four brothers and one sister. Thelma was a licensed practical nurse, a homemaker and a tireless leader in her church the Ferry Glenn Church of the Nazarene. She was also a soloist, song leader and pianist for many years at the church. Surviving are three sons, Lester M. Jr. (Cynthia, deceased) of Weirton, Charles (Barbara) of New Cumberland, WV and Ralph (Joyce) of Leetonia, OH; nine daughters, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Gordon of Weirton, Patricia Barnhart of Ambridge, PA, Mrs. Michael (Yvonne) Ford of Richmond, Mrs. William (Valarie) Crowe of Wintersville, OH, Mrs. Frank (Linda) Pulice of Weirton, Mrs. Daniel (Gwendolyn) Goodman of Windham, NH, Anita Barnhart of Weirton, Vicky Shay of Belleview, Fl, and Lore Bado of Weirton; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Grace Smith of Colliers and brother Ernest Anderson of Colliers, WV. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St, Weirton where services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday with Reverend Steve Hall officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army, 794 Cove Road, Weirton, WV 26062.
