Thomas A. Dalesio, 50, of Clarksburg, WV, formerly of Weirton, died Monday, February 23, 2004 in Clarksburg. He was born March 16, 1953 in Steubenville, OH, a son of Beatrice Salerno Dalesio of Pittsburgh, PA, and the late Albert Dalesio. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Donna Dalesio Majoris. Tom was a 1971 graduate of Weir High School and a 1975 graduate of West Virginia University with a BS Degree in Journalism. He was active in Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Following his graduation he began a career in public relations and worked for the Steubenville, OH newspaper and later at the Weirton Daily Times. He then accepted the position of director of the Weirton Chamber of Commerce, and later at the Greater Bluefield Area Chamber of Commerce in Bluefield, WV. While in Weirton, he was named Outstanding Citizen of the Year, and was a member of the Weirton Rotary Club, and St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Tom also worked for Charles Ryan Associates in Charleston, Ashland Oil Company, and then as company spokesperson for Rhone Poulanc in Institute. He later was employed at CNG Corporation in Clarksburg and in 2003 received an associate degree from Fairmont State College with honors in Food Service Management. He was last employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. Tom was a loving and devoted father. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Meredith Rae Dalesio of Fairmont, WV and Cole Thomas Dalesio of Clarksburg; their mother, Nancy Burdette Dalesio of Ripley, WV; one sister, Noreen Romano and her husband Mike of Pittsburgh; one niece, Melissa Majoris Karas and her husband Dave, and their daughters, Lauren and Emilee; two nephews, Michael J. Majoris and his wife Trinity and David Romano; and family friend, Richard Miller. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM Thursday at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where prayer services will be held at 8:45 PM Thursday. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Rev. Fr. Steve Dube will preside. Entombment will be at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
